Position Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and empathetic Medical Assistant to support our Obstetrics and Gynecology department. The ideal candidate will possess strong clinical and administrative skills, playing a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our practice and the provision of superior patient care.

Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with patient intake, including recording vital signs and medical history.
- Prepare patients for exams and procedures, ensuring comfort and privacy.
- Support healthcare providers during examinations and minor office procedures.
- Maintain cleanliness and sterilization of equipment and exam rooms.
- Administer injections and medications, perform basic lab tests, and collect specimens as needed.
- Manage patient scheduling, billing, insurance verification, follow-up appointments, and accurate documentation.
- Educate patients on treatment plans, medications, and follow-up care.
- Respond to patient inquiries, providing clear and compassionate assistance.
- Collaborate with team members to maintain efficient workflow and high standards of care.
Qualifications:
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) accreditation preferred.
- Three years of experience in an Obstetrics and Gynecology setting is advantageous.
- Proficient in electronic health record (EHR) systems and medical terminology. One year of ATHENA EMR experience is preferred.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- A commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality and ensuring ethical medical practices.
