Webster Outpatient Surgery Center is looking for a Medical Assistant Per Diem.

The Medical Assistant (MA) will work under supervision with oversight from a registered nurse. May have additional responsibilities as designated by the Director of Nursing. Front and back office duties.

· Assists medical providers-and maintains a clean and safe environment in accordance with the practice policies and procedure.

· Great communicator able to deal tactfully and professionally with patients, families, staff, and physicians.

· Operates telephone system including receiving incoming calls, taking messages, identify nature of business and call.

· Performs clerical duties including distribution of mail and messages, monitoring office supplies, and maintaining postage meter.

· Assist with chart preparation.

· Assist with Admissions. Check in pre-op patients. Copy identification and insurance. Communication with Pre-Op nursing staff.

· Provide relief to Admitting, Office Assistant, and Scheduling as required

Pay Range: $28.00 - $35.00/hr

Required Skills

Required Skills/Experience:

· Graduate of an accredited CMA program preferred.

· Minimum 1 year of experience as a Medical Assistant.

· Must have front and back office experience.

· BLS required.

Webster Outpatient Surgery Center with federal, state, and/or local laws regarding mandatory vaccination of its workforce.
