    Job Description:

    We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Medical Assistant to join our team in providing exceptional care to patients experiencing chronic and acute pain. This role is vital to our practice, combining front-desk duties with clinical responsibilities to ensure smooth patient flow and superior service. The ideal candidate is organized, reliable, and committed to helping patients feel welcomed, heard, and supported throughout their care journey. The candidate will be asked to work from multiple locations. Performs other related duties as assigned.

    Experience Requirements:

    • A minimum of 1–2 years of experience as a Medical Assistant and/or front desk staff in a healthcare setting
    • Hands-on experience with Electronic Health Records (EHR)
    • Greet patients and manage check-in/check-out procedures
    • Assist with patient intake and rooming
    • Record patient vitals and medical histories accurately
    • Assist physicians with in-office procedures and patient documentation
    • Schedule appointments and verify insurance when needed
    • Handle incoming calls and route messages appropriately
    • Maintain a clean and organized clinical environment
    • Demonstrated ability to interact professionally and empathetically with patients in pain

    Preferred Requirements:

    • Experience with Athenahealth

    Physical Requirements:

    • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time
    • Ability to loft and carry up to 30 pounds
    • Be able to commute to multiple locations

    Required Education:

    • High School Diploma/GED
    • Current Medical Assistant Certification (CMA or RMA)

    Preferred Education:

    • CPR certification

    Schedule:

    • Monday through Friday 8-5 PM
    • Monday, Wednesday and Friday: Clermont
    • Tuesday and Thursday: Orlando

    (Flexible)

    Training Schedule:

    • Virtual video 4-8 hours the day prior to starting in the office.

    Drug and background checks are performed. Valid identification and reliable transportation required. We are an E-Verify employer.
