We are seeking a reliable Medical Assistant with a positive outlook, willingness to learn, and a desire to grow. If this describes you, we'd like you to join the family! MA certification, Associate's Degree, or other equivalent is preferred but not required, onsite training will be provided. Ability to start and monitor IV's is preferred but not required. The hours offered are Monday-Thursday 9-6 and Friday 8-12. Total hours work out to around 40 per week. Willing to consider candidates with part time availability.
Responsibilities:
Scheduling patients and answering questions
Facilitating and coordinating care with providers
Facilitating a positive patient experience
Taking detailed patient history
Participating in continuing education
Maintaining up to date knowledge regarding best practices in weight loss
Counseling patients on options available
Taking vitals
Administering injections
Answering phones
Taking messages
Completing prior authorizations for prescription medications
Qualifications:
Previous experience in healthcare
Familiarity with disease states
Previous MA experience preferred, but not required
Strong organizational skills
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
Team player
Friendly and Positive attitude
