We’re looking for a Part-Time Medical Assistant to support both administrative and clinical functions in a dynamic healthcare environment. This role offers the flexibility of working two 12-hour shifts per week on a rotating schedule that includes weekdays and weekends—perfect for those seeking work-life balance while making a real impact in patient care.

    The Medical Assistant will provide a combination of administrative and clinical support in a fast-paced healthcare environment. This role requires the ability to multitask under pressure, maintain professionalism in high-stress situations, and deliver excellent customer service to patients and staff.

    Responsibilities

    • Greet patients upon arrival and assist with check-in

    • Collect and verify patient contact information and insurance details

    • Answer phone calls, respond to patient inquiries, take messages, and respond to emails

    • Submit insurance forms and follow up with insurance providers regarding coverage

    • Schedule new and follow-up appointments

    • Update, file, and maintain patients’ medical records

    • Prepare exam rooms and ensure supplies are stocked; reorder as needed

    • Assist with clinical procedures and examinations

    • Take and record patient medical histories and vital signs

    • Prepare patients for examinations and assist the provider during visits

    • Maintain inventory of medical and office supplies

    • Uphold a high standard of professionalism, courtesy, and customer service

    • Utilize electronic medical records and other computer programs efficiently

    • Perform other duties as assigned.

  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    • Associate degree in a medical or healthcare-related field (preferred)

    • 1–2 years of experience in a healthcare practice, clinic, or hospital

    • Familiarity with medical terminology and clinical workflows

    • Strong organizational and communication skills

    • Proficient in electronic medical records (EMR) systems and general computer applications

    • Ability to work effectively under pressure and handle multiple tasks
