About the Role This position is based in a walk-in retail healthcare environment, where patients can take control of their health through direct access to lab testing. The Medical Assistant supports both clinical and administrative operations, ensuring a smooth, professional, and customer-focused experience.

Key Responsibilities

Perform phlebotomy (venipuncture) and specimen collection accurately

Collect and process samples following established protocols

Conduct basic clinical tasks (vital signs, documentation, patient preparation)

Provide exceptional customer service in a retail healthcare setting

Maintain compliance with OSHA, HIPAA, and company standards

Support services including blood testing, drug screening, DNA/paternity testing, and occupational health services

Assist with front desk operations (check-in/check-out, scheduling, data entry, payments)

Ensure accurate recordkeeping and timely processing of patient information

Qualifications

Medical Assistant certification preferred (CMA, RMA, or equivalent)

Phlebotomy experience strongly preferred

1+ year of healthcare or clinical experience preferred

Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Ability to multitask in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment

Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills

Proficiency with computers and data entry systems
