    Training & development

Financial District Foot & Ankle Center is hiring a Back Office Medical Assistant to join our award-winning sports medicine practice. We have been voted Best of the Bay for the past two years and are known for clinical excellence, efficiency, and advanced treatment options.

This position will start part-time on Mondays, Thursdays, and a half day on Fridays, with a planned transition to full-time beginning May 1.

This is an excellent opportunity for candidates seeking hands-on, meaningful clinical experience in a fast-paced outpatient setting.

    Schedule

    • Part-time to start: Mondays, Thursdays, and half-day Fridays • Full-time beginning May 1

    What You’ll Do

    • Act as a clinical extender for physicians, providing direct patient care • Perform hands-on treatments including ultrasound, shockwave, and MLS laser therapy • Complete detailed EHR charting and clinical documentation • Assist with billing, including charge and payment posting • Provide clear patient education and treatment guidance • Collaborate closely with physicians and front office staff to support efficient patient flow

    What We’re Looking For

    • 1–2 years of clinic experience as a Medical Assistant • Strong back office skills with comfort supporting front office needs as needed • Fast, accurate typing and strong written communication • Experience with EHR systems and multitasking in a busy clinic • Reliable, detail-oriented, and motivated to grow into a full-time role

    Training Provided

Hands-on training is provided for in-office modalities and protocols, including ultrasound, shockwave, and MLS laser therapy. We are looking for candidates who learn quickly, take initiative, and apply training with precision.

    A Strong Stepping Stone

This role is a great fit for pre-professional candidates pursuing MD, DO, PA, or NP, paths who want real clinical exposure, responsibility, and mentorship in a high-performing sports medicine practice.

    Why This Role Matters

This is not a typical MA role. You will work side-by-side with physicians as a true clinical extender, directly impacting patient outcomes while gaining experience with advanced sports medicine treatments. The skills developed here translate directly to future professional training and patient care.

    Culture & Practice

Our practice has been voted Best of the Bay for the past two years and is built on our core values of Curiosity, Momentum, Respect, and Teamwork. You’ll work alongside high-performing achievers in a collaborative, respectful environment.

    What We Offer

    • Competitive pay • Health and dental benefits and PTO when full-time • Professional growth and training • Birthday celebrations with lunch, cake, and a shoe allowance

If you’re looking for a clinically focused MA role with a clear path to full-time and long-term growth, we’d love to hear from you.
