    Job Overview

    NOVA Plastic Surgery and Dermatology is a leading practice in the region, recognized for excellence in aesthetic and surgical care. We are seeking a full-time Medical Assistant to join our growing team. This role is ideal for a motivated, fast-learning individual who thrives in a fast-paced clinical environment and can think on their feet. The Medical Assistant will work closely with providers and staff to deliver high-quality patient care across our practice locations.

    Responsibilities

    • Assist Physician Assistants with treatments and procedures including blood draws
    • Assist Plastic Surgeons with examinations, procedures, and treatments
    • Prepare patients for examinations, obtain vital signs, and document medical histories
    • Scribe and chart accurately for physicians
    • Assist in the Surgery Center and Operating Room
    • Prepare examination rooms and surgical equipment; clean and sterilize instruments
    • Manage inventory of medical supplies and ensure exam rooms are properly stocked
    • Schedule appointments; check out patients
    • Obtain and update patient information, ensuring all forms and consents are completed
    • Check out patients and rebook them for future appointments
    • Assist with referral processing and coordination of laboratory services
    • Handle billing processes as needed
    • Assist patients with purchasing medical-grade skincare products
    • Support clinic operations by working at multiple office locations as required

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor's degree required; related field preferred
    • Strong interest in aesthetics, plastic surgery, and dermatology
    • Phlebotomy Experience preferred
    • Prior experience in aesthetics, plastic surgery, dermatology, or the operating room is a plus
    • Ability to learn quickly, retain new information and skills, and adapt to changing priorities
    • Strong communication skills with a consistently courteous and professional demeanor
    • Excellent interpersonal and teamwork skills in a high-energy clinical setting
    • Exceptional attention to detail and organizational abilities
    • Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities efficiently
    • Proficiency with computers and common software (word processing, spreadsheets, internet applications, social media); willingness to learn new systems and platforms
