    Position Summary

    We are seeking a reliable and motivated Medical Assistant to join our busy Internal Medicine / Primary Care office. Under the supervision of a board-certified physician, the Medical Assistant will support both clinical and administrative operations to ensure efficient workflow and excellent patient care.

    Key Responsibilities

    Clinical Duties

    Room patients for in-person and telemedicine visits; obtain vital signs and document chief complaints

    Perform EKGs, spirometry, blood glucose testing, TB testing, and INR testing

    Administer injections as ordered by the provider

    Prepare exam rooms and assist with in-office procedures

    Administrative & Care Coordination

    Coordinate patient referrals and follow up on authorizations

    Request, track, and document lab results, imaging reports, and outside medical records

    Assist with prior authorizations, disability forms, and medical documentation

    Communicate with outside providers and specialists as needed

    Front Office & Patient Support

    Answer phones and schedule appointments

    Assist new and prospective patients with general inquiries

    Support daily administrative and clinical tasks to ensure smooth office operations

    Qualifications & Skills

    We are seeking a candidate who thrives in a fast-paced Internal Medicine setting and demonstrates professionalism, adaptability, and strong patient-service skills.

    Required

    Certified Medical Assistant (CMA)

    Ability to perform EKGs and administer injections

    High school diploma or equivalent

    Strong communication skills (in person and by phone)

    Reliable, punctual, and detail-oriented

    Ability to multitask, prioritize, and remain calm under pressure

    Team-oriented with a positive, proactive attitude

    Preferred

    Minimum 2 years of customer service experience

    Minimum 1 year of medical assisting experience

    Spanish-speaking

    Experience in Internal Medicine or Primary Care

    Schedule

    Full-Time: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday half day.

    Approximately 36 hours per week

    High School Diploma or equivalent

    License / Certification

    Certified Medical Assistant (Required)
