    We are seeking a compassionate, organized, and detail-oriented Primary Care Medical Assistant to join our healthcare team. The Medical Assistant will support providers in delivering high-quality patient care by performing both clinical and administrative duties in a fast-paced primary care setting. The ideal candidate is patient-focused, professional, and committed to maintaining excellent standards of care.

    Key Responsibilities

    Prepare patients for examinations and procedures.

    Obtain and document vital signs, medical histories, and chief complaints.

    Assist providers during patient examinations and treatments.

    Administer injections, vaccinations, and medications as directed.

    Perform basic laboratory procedures, specimen collection, and point-of-care testing.

    Conduct EKGs and other diagnostic tests as required.

    Educate patients on treatment plans, medications, and preventive care.

    Maintain exam rooms, supplies, and equipment.

    Verify patient information and update electronic medical records - ATHENA

    Process prescription refill requests according to office protocols.

    Maintain confidentiality and comply with HIPAA regulations.

    Qualifications

    Required

    High school diploma or equivalent.

    Medical Assistant certification (CMA, RMA, or equivalent) or completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program.

    Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

    Knowledge of medical terminology and clinical procedures.

    Proficiency with electronic medical record systems.

    Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

    Preferred

    Minimum 3 years of experience in a primary care, family medicine, or internal medicine setting.

    Experience with vaccine administration and phlebotomy.

    Bilingual skills are a plus.
