RTD Talent Solutions is currently representing one of the premier non-profits in the Downtown Miami, FL area that is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA).

Our client specializes in humanitarian efforts, affordable medical, dental, behavioral health, and social services to the underserved population of Miami. They have been in operation more than 50 years, and have helped more than hundreds of thousands in need. This is a full-time, contract-to-hire, on-site role with excellent compensation and benefits. As Certified Medical Assistant (CMA), you will be responsible for their patient care. The CMA must display responsible behaviors, communicate effectively to others, and functions as a member of the healthcare team. The CMA must demonstrate competency in all skills related to the performance of patient care.

Key job duties, among others:·

• Assist with patient examinations.
• Record vital signs, height and weight measurements.
• Sanitize clinical workspaces.
• Maintain medical laboratory logbook.
• Retrieve and file diagnostic tests (i.e., x-rays lab work) information.
• Autoclave medical equipment as needed.
• Make outside appointments and referrals for clients.
• Stock, order and organize medical supplies and forms for all clinical areas.
• Monitor incoming phone calls for medical staff.
• Administer necessary medications under the direction of a licensed physician.
• Phlebotomy.
• Patient education.
• Perform simple diagnostic (i.e., EKG, Hemocue, urine dip, etc.).
• Assist as needed to ensure the smooth operation of the clinic.
• Perform any other department or agency related duties or special projects as directed by Supervisor.
