    We are a busy medical office located in Santa Barbara seeking a full-time Medical Assistant. The successful applicant will be an energetic team player able to interact with all existing staff members in a fast paced environment. Applicant must be reliable, punctual, organized, computer literate and able to multitask and problem solve. Responsibilities include assisting the physicians managing a very diverse workload.

    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: • Room patients and prepare patients for exam or treatment as appropriate by taking vital signs, removing casts or dressings, assisting the patient in changing clothing for their exam, collecting patient's past medical history • Prepare exam and treatment rooms with necessary instruments • Assist physicians in preparing and performing minor procedures • Maximize physician productivity • Schedule tests and off-site procedures • eChart prep for future clinic days • Keep exam rooms clean and stocked with appropriate supplies and forms • Perform other tasks and duties as assigned by Practice Manager or physician • Commute to Oxnard office once or twice a week as needed to assist provider

    Professional Responsibilities: • Learn and understand our EMR program • Observe the written and unwritten policies and procedure set forth by the group • Represent the company and your physician in a positive and professional manner at all times • Maintain strict confidentiality at all times

    Job Qualifications: • Desire to work in a fast paced environment • Able to multi-task different responsibilities without losing attention to detail • Demonstrate persistence in overcoming and removing obstacles that impact goal achievement • Proactively approach assignments with a view to achieve the desired end results • Demonstrate strong written and communication skills • Work collaboratively with internal and external staff, partners and vendors • Manage timelines and resources across multiple projects and initiatives • Have a professional approach to work including communication, dress and collaborative relationships • Operate with a sense of urgency and accountability
