Soteria Home Health Agency, Inc. has provided patient-centered home health care across Los Angeles County for more than 16 years, helping patients remain independent while receiving skilled nursing, therapy, and support services in the comfort of their homes.
Our agency is hiring a full-time, in-office Medical Assistant for its Inglewood office, Monday through Friday. This role supports clinical operations through intake, scheduling, clinical documentation, and care coordination while working closely with clinicians, patients, and office staff. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, dependable, and experienced in home health, with a strong understanding of compliance and a desire to grow within a supportive, mission-driven organization.

Responsibilities
Support patient intake, referrals, insurance verification, and scheduling of skilled nursing and therapy visits.
Assist with clinical documentation, chart preparation, recertifications, and chart audits in the electronic health record.
Coordinate communication between patients, families, field clinicians, and physicians’ offices to ensure timely, coordinated care.
Track and follow up on physician orders, signatures, and outstanding documentation to maintain compliance.
Monitor and route incoming clinical information, lab results, and patient updates to the appropriate care team members.
Maintain compliance with home health regulations, agency policies, and quality standards, and support office operations as needed.
Qualifications
Medical Assistant certification (CMA, RMA, or CCMA) preferred; completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program required.
Home health experience is strongly preferred, with familiarity with OASIS documentation, plan-of-care workflows, and home health compliance standards.
Solid experience with patient documentation and EMR/EHR systems, along with strict adherence to HIPAA and home health regulations.
Strong organizational and communication skills, with the ability to manage scheduling, intake, and patient follow-up in a fast-paced office environment.
A professional, reliable, and self-directed work style with keen attention to detail and accuracy.
Bilingual skills are a plus for enhanced patient communication and care coordination.
