Job Summary

Southern California Spine and Joint Institute is seeking a part-time Medical Assistant to join our team in a growing, fast-paced, pain management office. This individual must be self-motivated, reliable and caring.

Responsibilities:

Assisting physicians in minimally invasive office procedures

Obtain thorough chief complaints, medical history and vital signs

Educate patients on treatments offered

Create radiology orders

Obtain radiology reports from online portals

You may also be expected to perform front desk responsibilities including but not limited to:

answering phones

scheduling patients

checking patients in and out

collecting co-pays/deductibles

Qualifications:

Specialty experience preferred

Certified Medical Assistant

Compassionate with good interpersonal skills

Ability to build rapport with patients

EMR proficient

Pain Management experience, fluoroscopy experience desired
