Summit Surgical Center is seeking an experienced Per Diem Medical Assistant to support our Ambulatory Surgery Center team on an as-needed basis.

Position Overview

The Medical Assistant will assist in pre-operative and post-operative patient care and support clinical staff during procedural days. Flexibility and reliability are essential.

Required Qualifications

Demonstrated IV insertion competency (required)

Ambulatory Surgery Center (ASC) experience strongly preferred

Bilingual (English/Spanish) required

Current BLS certification

Strong knowledge of infection control and sterile technique

Ability to work efficiently in a procedural setting

Professional communication skills and patient-centered demeanor

Responsibilities

Perform IV insertions

Assist with patient intake, vital signs, and documentation

Support pre-op and PACU workflow

Assist with room turnover and supply preparation

Maintain compliance with safety and infection control standards

Collaborate closely with RNs and physicians

Schedule

Per diem / as-needed basis with the opportunity for more hours

Scheduled around procedural days

Must have flexible availability

Compensation

Competitive hourly rate based on experience
