    Overview: Urgent Care Clinic in Southampton, PA is seeking a dedicated and skilled Medical Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting medical professionals and ensuring that patients receive the highest quality of care. This position requires a strong understanding of medical terminology and procedures, as well as the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced clinical environment.

    Responsibilities:

    Provide administrative and clinical support to healthcare providers

    Patient registration and intake

    Manage patient records using EMR software accurately and securely

    Vital signs measurement

    Accompany patients to examination or treatment room, obtain medical history, and prepare them for examination or treatment

    Phlebotomy, specimen collection, and performing lab tests per instructions

    Assisting with minor procedures and EKG testing

    Maintain patient records for clinical use, billing, and physician review

    Prepare and maintain examination rooms, ensuring they are clean and well-stocked.

    Administer medications and injections as directed by healthcare providers.

    Requirements:

    Certification as a Medical Assistant or equivalent experience in a clinical setting.

    High school diploma or equivalent

    Proficiency in medical terminology

    Experience working in an Urgent Care Clinic or similar healthcare facility is preferred.

    Basic life support or CPR certification is required.

    Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

    Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.

    Computer skills and working knowledge of EMR systems.

    Schedule: 10 and 12 hour shifts, every other weekend.
