    We are looking for a Full Time MA to join our team at Duval Vascular. We are a fast-paced, patient-focused vascular and vein specialty practice dedicated to providing cutting-edge care for patients with venous and arterial disorders uterine fibroids and treatments for osteo arthritis knee pain.     Job Summary:

    We are seeking a detail-oriented, dependable, and compassionate Medical Assistant (MA) to join our vascular team. The ideal candidate will work closely with our provider during patient office visits, assist in setting up for in-office procedures, and support daily clinical operations to ensure a smooth, high-quality patient experience.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Assist provider with patient examinations, sclerotherapy, ultrasound-guided procedures, and minor in-office surgical procedures
    • Room patients and obtain accurate vital signs and medical histories
    • Perform ABIs
    • Interviews patients, measure vital signs, including blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and document all information in patient’s chart
    • Give instructions to patients as instructed by nurse practitioner
    • Ensure all related reports, labs and information is filed is available in patients’ medical records prior to their appointment
    • Keep exam rooms stocked with adequate medical supplies, maintain instruments, prepare sterilization as required
    • Take telephone messages and provide feedback and answers to patient/physician/pharmacy calls
    • Triage and process messages from patients and front office staff to physicians and nurse practitioner
    • Maintain all logs and required checks (i.e. refrigerator temperatures, emergency medications, expired medications, oxygen, cold sterilization fluid change, etc.)
    • Responsible for all patient charts being ready and available (attaching paper work) according to the schedule on a daily basis. Including proper documentation into the patient's EMR
    • Greet and assist all incoming visitors/patients in a cheerful and professional manner.
    • Prepare and maintain exam and procedure rooms, ensuring all equipment and supplies are ready.
    • Support pre- and post-procedure patient care, including wound care, dressing changes, and patient education
    • Accurately document patient information in the electronic medical record (EMR) system
    • Manage patient flow and communicate effectively with the provider and clinical team
    • Perform administrative tasks such as appointment scheduling, phone calls, and patient follow-ups when needed
    • Maintain compliance with OSHA, HIPAA, and infection control standards
    • Cross Train to Intake and other roles as assigned

    Qualifications:

    • High School Diploma or equivalent required
    • Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program
    • Current MA certification preferred (CMA, RMA, CCMA, etc.)
    • Prior experience in a surgical, vascular, or vein specialty setting is highly desirable
    • Proficient in EMR usage
    • Strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and a team-first attitude
    • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while providing excellent patient care

    This position requires a minimum of one (1) year experience as a medical assistant. Basic Medical terminology and knowledge of medical specialties and required skills is required.

    Ability to maintain effective and organized systems to ensure timely patient flow. The ability to perform phlebotomy. High school diploma; some college preferred and Medical assistant certification or Certified Nursing Assistant certification.

    Knowledge of business office procedures is preferred. Candidate must have knowledge of grammar, spelling and punctuation to type patient information. Also required is skill in operating a computer, photocopy, vital signs machine, and phlebotomy supplies. The candidate for this position must be able to speak clearly and concisely, be able to read, understand and follow oral and written instruction. Most important, he or she must be able to establish and maintain effective working relationships with patients, employees, referral office staff.
