Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled, compassionate Pediatric Medical Assistant to join our team at Well Rooted Pediatrics—a holistic, functional, and integrative pediatric practice. .Responsibilities:

Welcome and room pediatric patients with compassion and patience

Prepare for the patient visit, including prepping chart, as well as setting up medical equipment

Obtain accurate vital signs, update medical history and assist providers

Perform basic laboratory test including capillary and venipunctures

Administer medications, injections and vaccinations as directed by the nurse practitioner

Ear piercing

Manage medical supplies inventory, organize supplies and keep supplies clean

Minor cleaning of clinic daily

Provide parent education and comfort measures to ensure a positive experience

Collaborate closely with the medical team to support smooth patient flow and exceptional care

Qualifications

Certified Medical Assistant (CMA),Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA) or Nationally Registered Certified Medical Assistant (NRCMA) is required

Pediatric or Family practice experience strongly preferred

Interest in holistic, functional, integrative medicine

Phlebotomy experience desired

Excellent communication skills, including verbal and written, organization and multitasking skills

Proficient in electronic medical records software, Elation EHR is preferred

Strong attention to detail in maintaining accurate patient records
