Premier Primary Care is a family-owned and operated. We are seeking a motivated, experienced and dependable Medical Assistant (MA) to join our patient-focused team.
Medical Assistant will work with our Board Certified Family Medicine (Primary Care Physician PCP) /Fellowship trained in Sports Medicine. His practice of 25 years provides comprehensive medical care, integrating general primary care with specialized evaluation and treatment of sports-related conditions.
The ideal candidate will have at least 4 years of clinical experience, excellent communication skills, and a strong work ethic.
Clinical responsibilities
Greet patients and escort them to exam rooms
Obtain and document vital signs, (blood pressure, temperature, heart rate, respiration)
Record patient history, chief complaint, assist with referrals to specialists, communicate with pharmacies.
Assist with physical exams and minor procedures
Apply and remove braces and other Orthopedic treatments
Perform EKG, visions screenings, peak flow and other diagnostic tests
Administer injections (vaccines, medications) as directed by provider
Perform venipuncture and prepare specimens for lab testing
Sports Medicine Specific Tasks
Provide pre-participation physical support (health history)
Support rehabilitation plans by assisting with range of motion or strength assessments
Assist in fitting and education on athletics supports and braces
Help coordinate imaging (x-rays, MRIs…) and follow-up care
Administrative Responsibilities
Schedule patient appointments and follow-ups
Call in prescriptions and obtain prior authorizations
Maintain patient records and ensure accurate charting in chart
Respond to Patient messages referral requests and test results under provider Direction
Monitor and restock clinical supplies and exam rooms
Compliance and Safety
Follow infection control and HIPAA protocols
Ensure equipment is clean and maintained (autoclave)
Key Responsibilities:
Obtain vital signs, medical histories, and perform point-of-care testing
Administer medications and injections under provider direction
Prepare and clean exam rooms between patients
Perform EKGs, rapid tests, and specimen collection as needed
Accurately document patient information

Requirements:
Minimum 4 years of experience as a Medical Assistant in a clinical setting
Current BLS certification
