Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Medical Biller to join our team! As a Medical Biller, you will be working closely with staff and clients to answer questions related to billing, processing all forms needed for insurance billing purposes, and collecting necessary documentation from clients. The ideal candidate has excellent attention to detail, strong customer service skills, and has the ability to work independently.

Responsibilities

Submit medical claims to insurance companies in a timely manner

Verify patient insurance eligibility and benefits

Follow up on unpaid rejected and or denied claims

Post payments and reconcile accounts

Maintain accurate billing records

Communicate with insurance companies regarding claim status

Work with doctor’s offices and hospitals to obtain charge information and billing details

Enter all billing and payment information into the system properly and without errors

Answer phones, assist clients with questions, take messages, and screen calls

Maintains the highest level of confidentiality

Qualifications

Previous experience with medical coding or billing required

Knowledge of CPT and ICD-10 coding

Experience with most insurances

Strong attention to detail

Ability to work in a fast paced environment
