    About the Role

    We are a busy chiropractic practice looking to add a detail-oriented Billing Specialist to our team. You'll work alongside our existing biller to support revenue cycle operations, with a primary focus on denials management, accounts receivable follow-up, patient collections, and account retention. This is a great opportunity for someone early in their billing career who is eager to grow and make a direct impact on the financial health of the practice.

    Key Responsibilities

    Work denials and rejections from insurance carriers, identifying trends and resubmitting claims in a timely manner

    Manage and follow up on outstanding accounts receivable to ensure timely reimbursement

    Conduct patient collections with professionalism and empathy, including payment plan discussions

    Support account retention efforts by resolving billing discrepancies and communicating clearly with patients and insurers

    Verify patient insurance eligibility and benefits as needed

    Collaborate with the existing biller and clinical staff to ensure clean claim submission

    Maintain accurate records and documentation in the billing/EMR system

    Stay current with chiropractic billing codes (CPT, ICD-10) and payer-specific guidelines

    Qualifications

    1–2 years of medical billing experience required; chiropractic or physical therapy billing a plus

    Familiarity with denials management and AR follow-up processes

    Knowledge of CPT and ICD-10 coding

    Experience with billing/EMR software (e.g., ChiroTouch, Jane, AdvancedMD, or similar)

    Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

    Comfortable communicating with patients and insurance representatives

    Ability to work independently and as part of a small team

    Compensation & Benefits

    Competitive pay: $38,000–$46,000/year based on experience

    401(k) with 3% employer match
