The Northern Utah Eye Center is looking for a dedicated, long-term employee to join our team as a full-time Billing Specialist. Bring a good work ethic and a desire to serve and care for our patients and you will fit right in!

What will you do everyday?

Checking eligibility and benefits

Obtaining pre-authorizations

Handling medical billing activities: insurance verification, claim submission, rejection resolution, and resolving patient-related billing inquiries

In this position your primary responsibility is to assist patients in a professional and friendly manner. This position requires great customer service skills, an ability to communicate well over the phone, proficient computer skills, and a strong attention to detail. This role is essential in creating a positive experience for our patients.

Qualifications:

You will need a minimum of a high school diploma

Experience with ophthalmic terminology (preferred)

Knowledge of CPT and ICD-10 codes and terminology (preferred)
