    As a Medical Billing Specialist / Team Lead at Ellie Mental Health - New Mexico, you will do medical billing for psychotherapy

    services performed at our outpatient mental health clinics across New Mexico. This will

    include posting payments, reviewing claims, resolving claims, and providing exceptional customer

    Responsibilities:

    • Post insurance payments to the system & make sure ERAs balance

    • Ensure documentation is attached to all claims

    • Review all claims for accuracy and submit to insurance companies

    • Resolve all rejected & denied claims

    • Follow up on outstanding insurance invoices; submit claim appeals to insurance companies

    • Allocate client payments

    • Assist in handling pre-authorizations

    • Maintain system by adding/updating CPT codes, payers & new clinic locations

    • Coordinate with HR Specialist for completion of payroll

    • Respond to staff questions regarding insurance & claims-related issues

    Requirements:

    • Experience as a Medical Biller

    • Solid understanding of billing software and electronic medical records

    • Must have the ability to multitask and manage time effectively

    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; extreme attention to detail

    • Outstanding problem-solving and organizational abilities

    • Passion for working in the mental health field

    • Bachelor’s Degree preferred • Credentialing experience a plus
