    Medical Business Office Coordinator

    St. Francis Surgery Center is seeking a highly organized and proactive Business Office Coordinator to join our dynamic healthcare team. As a key member of our administrative staff, the Business Office Coordinator will be responsible for various aspects of office operations, ensuring the efficient functioning of the business office, and contributing to the overall success of our ambulatory surgery center.

    Responsibilities:

    1. Billing and Revenue Cycle Management: * Manage billing processes, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulatory standards. * Collaborate with insurance providers to process claims and address billing inquiries. * Oversee the revenue cycle, optimizing financial performance.
    2. Appointment Scheduling: * Coordinate patient appointments, maintaining an organized and efficient schedule. * Utilize scheduling software to manage appointments, cancellations, and rescheduling.
    3. Front Desk Operations: * Supervise front desk activities, including patient check-ins, check-outs, and registration. * Provide exceptional customer service to patients, addressing inquiries and concerns.
    4. Financial Recordkeeping: * Maintain accurate financial records and generate reports as needed for analysis. * Assist in budget tracking and financial planning.
    5. Collaboration and Communication: * Facilitate effective communication among healthcare providers, administrative staff, and other departments. * Participate in regular meetings to discuss office operations and implement improvements.
    6. Compliance and Documentation: * Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and stay abreast of industry standards. * Oversee documentation processes, including patient records and office procedures.

    Required Skills

    • Must have a minimum of 5 years of medical business office experience.
    • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
    • Proficient in billing processes and familiarity with medical coding.
    • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
    • Knowledge of medical terminology and experience with office management software.
    • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
