    Job Description

    The Workers' Compensation Medical Care Coordinator will play a vital role in managing and coordinating medical care for workers' compensation claims. This position facilitates communication between injured workers, insurance carriers, and medical providers to ensure that treatment and benefits are provided accurately and efficiently.

    The role supports timely and appropriate medical care while navigating the intricacies of workers' compensation procedures.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Oversee and manage cases.
    • Obtain necessary authorizations for each case to proceed with medical and legal processes.
    • Ensure that clients attend all scheduled appointments, coordinating with medical providers as needed.
    • Maintain regular follow-up with clients to track appointment attendance and any necessary updates related to their case.
    • Keep accurate records of all authorizations, client appointments, and follow-up communications in the case management system.
    • Act as the primary point of contact for clients, answering questions and addressing concerns about their cases.
    • Provide regular updates on case status, appointment attendance, and client follow-ups to management.
    • Address any issues related to missed appointments, lack of authorization, or client concerns, and resolve them in a timely manner.
    • Work closely with medical providers, legal teams, and other departments to ensure smooth coordination of case-related activities.
    • Other essential duties as required.
  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    • 1+ years of experience in worker's compensation or medical field (preferred)
    • Bilingual (English / Spanish) is required.
    • High School Diploma required. Bachelor's Degree (preferred)
    • Knowledge of CA Workers’ Compensation Laws (Preferred)
    • Strong attention to detail, with ability to observe details on a computer or other electronic screens.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
    • Proficient in all Microsoft applications, including but not limited to Word, Outlook, and Teams
    • Ability to juggle multiple tasks efficiently with little supervision
    • Client focused, with the commitment to outstanding customer service and the ability to deliver results.
