About the Role:

Join CROSS COUNTY MEDICAL CARE as a Medical Coder in Bellerose, NY, where you'll play a vital role in ensuring accurate coding for patient records. Be part of a dedicated team that values precision and integrity in healthcare documentation.

Responsibilities:

Review and analyze medical records to assign appropriate codes for diagnoses and procedures.

Ensure compliance with coding guidelines and regulations.

Collaborate with healthcare providers to clarify documentation and coding queries.

Maintain up-to-date knowledge of coding standards, including ICD-10 and CPT codes.

Conduct regular audits to ensure coding accuracy and resolve discrepancies.

Provide support for billing and reimbursement processes as needed.

Requirements:

Certification as a Medical Coder (CPC, CCS, or equivalent) is preferred.

Proven experience in medical coding, preferably in a clinical setting.
