    Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Medical Practice Front Desk Supervisor to join our healthcare team. This role is vital in ensuring smooth daily operations within a busy medical practice environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong administrative skills, excellent patient service abilities, and familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems. Experience with healthcare insurances, medical billing, coding, and insurance verification is required.     Duties

    Greet patients warmly and professionally, ensuring a positive first impression

    Supervision of 6-10 front desk employees

    Schedule patient appointments using EMR systems such as Athena (bonus factor)

    Verify insurance coverage and perform insurance authorization and billing procedures

    Collect payments and process medical collections accurately

    Manage patient check-in and check-out processes, including updating medical records

    Handle multi-line phone systems with excellent phone etiquette and assist with patient inquiries

    Prepare and manage medical records, ensuring confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA regulations

    Support office management tasks such as filing, data entry, and maintaining office supplies

    Utilize Microsoft Office tools for documentation and communication purposes

    Requirements

    Proven experience in medical administrative support or front desk roles within clinics or healthcare settings

    Knowledge of medical terminology

    Experience with medical billing, insurance verification, and documentation review processes

    Strong computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and office management software

    Excellent customer service skills with the ability to handle multi-line phone systems professionally

    Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations

    Good communication skills and ability to work well with other departments in the medical office

    Bilingual abilities are preferred to serve diverse patient populations effectively

    Prior clinic front desk experience is required for understanding workflow and patient needs

    Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in documentation and scheduling tasks
