    Job description:

    We are seeking a skilled and patient-focused Medical Front Office to join our busy Allergy & Immunology practice. The ideal candidate will bring strong front desk experience, excellent communication skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment while providing concierge-level service to our patients.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Answer high-volume phone lines in a courteous, professional, and compassionate manner
    • Accurately take and relay messages to physicians and clinical staff
    • Schedule patient appointments, including new consultations, follow-ups, and allergy testing visits
    • Collect and update patient demographic and insurance information
    • Verify insurance eligibility, benefits, and referrals, including Medicare, HMO, and PPO plans
    • Collect co-pays, deductibles, and outstanding balances at check-in/check-out
    • Greet patients warmly and provide a concierge-style customer service experience
    • Maintain efficient patient flow and organization of the front office
    • Fax, scan, and manage medical records, referrals, and test results
    • Ensure strict compliance with HIPAA and patient confidentiality standards
    • Coordinate with clinical staff to support smooth daily operations

    Qualifications:

    • Minimum of 2+ years of front office experience in a medical practice (Allergy & Immunology experience a plus)
    • Experience with EMR systems preferred
    • Strong understanding of insurance verification and referral processes
    • Excellent multitasking, organizational, and time management skills
    • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
    • Ability to work effectively as part of a collaborative team

    Preferred Skills:

    • Familiarity with allergy testing scheduling and biologic therapy coordination
    • Knowledge of medical terminology related to allergy and immunology
    • Ability to manage a high-volume patient environment with professionalism and efficiency
