We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Medical Insurance Verification Specialist to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in verifying patient insurance coverage, obtaining authorizations, and ensuring accuracy in benefits information to support seamless patient care and revenue cycle processes.

Responsibilities:

Verify patient insurance coverage for medical services, including eligibility, benefits, co-pays, and deductibles.

Obtain necessary pre-authorizations and pre-certifications from insurance carriers.

Communicate with insurance companies, patients, and clinical teams to resolve coverage issues.

Accurately input and update insurance details in the practice management system.

Ensure timely verification to avoid delays in patient care.

Maintain confidentiality and comply with HIPAA regulations.

Qualifications:

Minimum 2 years of experience in medical insurance verification, preferably in a medical office, outpatient clinic, or hospital setting.

Strong knowledge of commercial insurance plans, Medicare, Blue Cross and Blue Shield, and managed care requirements.

Experience with insurance portals and electronic health record (EHR) systems.

Excellent communication and customer service skills.

High attention to detail and accuracy.

Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Skills:

Familiarity with medical terminology and CPT/ICD-10 codes.

Prior experience in physical therapy, outpatient services, or specialty care is a plus.
