Medical Laboratory Technician
Job Summary: The MLS/MT provides knowledge regarding all laboratory testing within the scope of services. Develop policies and procedures to comply with all CLIA and The Joint Commission requirements. Analyzes data and coordinates development of reports for Medical Director review and approval.

Required Skills
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in a chemical, physical, biological, or clinical laboratory/medical technology science with at least one year of experience in a hospital laboratory; or Associates degree in a laboratory science or medical laboratory technology program with at least two years experience in a hospital laboratory or a minimum of 3 years experience in an accredited laboratory.
Certification by one of the following accrediting agencies: MT/MLS (ASCP) or categorical, MT (AMT), MLT (ASCP).
CPR Required
Knowledge of governmental and regulating policies/ standards.
Basic computer skills.
Ability to detect color and color changes.
USPI complies with federal, state, and/or local laws regarding mandatory vaccination of its workforce. If you are offered this position and must be vaccinated under any applicable law, you will be required to show proof of full vaccination or obtain an approval of a religious or medical exemption prior to your start date. If you receive an exemption from the vaccination requirement, you will be required to submit to regular testing in accordance with the law.
