    Job Overview:

    AIMS Locum Tenens is seeking a skilled Medical Laboratory Technologist (MLT) to provide high-level laboratory testing and analysis in support of patient care at Keesler Blood Donor Center, Keesler AFB, Mississippi. The technologist will be responsible for performing a variety of complex diagnostic procedures using both automated and manual techniques in areas such as chemistry, microbiology, hematology, molecular biology, and more. The MLT ensures accurate, timely test results to aid medical providers in diagnosing and managing patient conditions.

    Specific Duties:

    Conduct a full range of lab procedures (automated and manual) in chemistry, urinalysis, hematology, serology, bacteriology, and immunohematology.

    Assess specimen suitability and maintain physiological integrity during testing.

    Prepare reagents and control materials; calibrate and maintain instruments.

    Interpret malfunctions, conduct repairs, and troubleshoot lab equipment.

    Ensure proper documentation of analytical results and quality assurance data.

    Implement and maintain quality control measures on equipment and testing materials.

    Qualifications:

    Degree: Bachelor’s degree

    Education: Graduate of a medical technology program accredited by:

    National Accrediting Agency for Clinical Laboratory Sciences (NAACLS),

    Accrediting Bureau of Health Education Schools (ABHES), or

    Educational program acceptable to the American Medical Technologist (AMT)

    BLS -Active from AHA /American Red Cross only

    Certification: Current certification from ASCP or AMT

    Experience: At least 1 year of experience within the last 2 years as a Medical Laboratory Technologist

    Skills and Abilities:

    Proficient in laboratory techniques across multiple testing domains

    Advanced troubleshooting and equipment maintenance skills

    Familiarity with national safety and infection control standards

    High attention to detail and ability to interpret complex results

    Strong documentation and reporting abilities

    Schedule:

    9-hour workdays (1-hour unpaid lunch)

    Monday–Friday (Between 0700-1800).

    Physical Requirements:

    Able to lift equipment up to 40 lbs.

    Must meet immunization and tuberculosis screening requirements.

    Must complete a physical exam and respirator mask fitting, as required.

    Immunization Requirement:

    TB Screening

    Physical examination

    Vaccinations per MTF guidelines

    Security Requirement:

    U.S. Citizenship required

    Background check as per DHA standards
