Position Overview
As a Medical Malpractice Defense Associate Attorney, you will manage a caseload of medical malpractice and complex civil litigation matters from inception through resolution. You will work closely with our team of experienced litigators, physicians, and nurses to deliver exceptional client outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
• Manage a caseload of medical malpractice and complex civil litigation matters from inception through resolution
• Draft and respond to pleadings, motions, and discovery
• Take and defend depositions, including expert and fact witnesses
• Participate in hearings, mediations, and trial preparation
• Collaborate with in-house medical professionals to develop case strategy
• Conduct legal research and prepare case evaluations and reports for clients
• Communicate effectively with clients, experts, and opposing counsel
Qualifications
• 2-5+ years of civil litigation experience (medical malpractice defense strongly preferred)
• Active membership in the Georgia Bar
• Strong legal writing, research, and analytical skills
• Deposition and motion practice experience preferred
• Trial experience or strong interest in becoming a trial attorney
• Ability to manage multiple matters in a fast-paced environment
• Team-oriented mindset with strong communication skills
