    The Medical Office Professional for Right At Home Waterloo performs various activities related to the optimal function of the company by working as a team player, being flexible and adjusting to unexpected circumstances. Answers the telephone and demonstrates excellent customer service skills in all interactions. Performs clerical functions. Assists with the training and mentoring of caregivers. Follows and upholds CHAP standards

    Responsibilities of a Right at Home Medical Office Professional:

    Answers telephone, directs calls, and takes messages with professionalism, remaining calm in the face of upset or disgruntled callers

    Greets and assists everyone who comes into the office in a professional and courteous manner

    Data entry into WellSky of all new clients, prospective clients, associates, and vendors

    Assists with recruiting as requested, i.e., tracking incoming calls, number of applicants, and new hires

    Assists with training for caregivers in coordination with Hiring Manager and Assistant Clinical Manager

    Coordinates and organizes referrals, particularly from Veterans Affairs (VA)

    Ensures VA authorizations are current, entered into WellSky correctly and communicates with VA personnel in a courteous, timely manner realizing they are a crucial part of our business

    Assists Scheduling Manager with calling clients and caregivers, updating and entering shifts in WellSky

    Photocopies all appropriate identification of new associates as requested

    Verifies valid licenses and certifications with appropriate licensing body as requested

    Prepares new hire packets, new client homecare record books, and client information packets as requested

    Maintain positive attitude and have a friendly, welcoming demeanor

    Keeps office supply inventory and communicates need to Owner

    Provides excellent communication to co-workers via email, text, and Teams and answers in a timely manner

    Be willing and able to fill shifts with clients as needed

    Participate in community relations events such as health and job fairs, other marketing efforts as directed

    Adheres to company policy and procedures, CHAP standards

    NON-ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

    Other general office and clerical functions

    Other duties assigned by Owner and other Supervisors

    Participates in weekend oncall rotation with other office staff

    EDUCATION / SKILLS / ABILITIES / AVAILABILITY

    High School graduate or equivalent

    Office and computer skills, and organizational abilities

    Excellent interpersonal relations abilities

    Excellent telephone skills

    Knowledge of common medical terminology

    Able to work independently, demonstrating sound judgment

    Read, write, speak, and understand English as needed for the job

    Ability to learn new technology, utilizing WellSky, Outlook, Microsoft Teams with confidence

    Ability to multi-task and adapt in a fast-paced office environment

    WORKING ENVIRONMENT

    Works primarily out of the local office

    Travels to client homes or facilities as needed
