Medical/Ophthalmic Scribe

Salary range

$19.00 -$24.00 per hour, depending on experience.

Job Summary

Busy Ophthalmology practice seeking scribe to assist physicians before, during and after patient examinations.

Responsibilities and Duties

Primary duties include:

-Working one-on-one with physician in the office setting.

-Assisting physician & providers in rooming patients.

-Taking live dictation from the physician directly into the EMR during physician- patient encounters

-Entering data into EMR before, during and after patient visits.

-Providing clinical & administrative support as needed to physician and office team.

Qualifications and Skills

-Strong writing skills

-Quick and accurate typing speed, excellent computer skills

-Experience with medical terminology

-Ability to stand, walk and follow a physician for extended periods of time

-Ability to work in a stressful and fast paced environment

-Self-motivated

-Experience with EMR.

-Must display a mature, professional demeanor, excellent customer service, organizational and communication skills.

-Must have ability to multi-task.

Ophthalmology background a plus.
