Job Title: Medical Physicist - Cancer Center
Rate: Up to $4700.00 weekly + benefits from day 1!
Location: Atlanta, GA
Day Shift (8H)
Licensure / Certification:
• ABR certification or ABR eligibility in Therapeutic Medical Physics required
• CPR/BLS required per hospital policy
Education:
• Master’s or PhD in Medical Physics, Applied Physics, or a closely related field
• Graduate degree must be from a CAMPEP-accredited program
• Completion of a CAMPEP-accredited medical physics residency required
Experience:
• Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in Radiation Oncology required
• Experience with linear accelerators, treatment planning systems, and QA
• Experience with IMRT/VMAT, SBRT/SRS, and brachytherapy preferred
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide medical physics support for the Radiation Oncology department
• Perform quality assurance and calibration of radiation therapy equipment and treatment planning systems
• Participate in radiation treatment planning and dose calculations
• Ensure safe, accurate, and compliant delivery of radiation therapy
• Support advanced radiation techniques including IMRT/VMAT, SBRT/SRS, and brachytherapy
• Assist with HDR procedures and prostate seed implant programs as applicable
• Maintain compliance with state, federal, and accrediting regulatory requirements
• Collaborate closely with radiation oncologists, dosimetrists, therapists, and clinical staff
• Participate in documentation, policy development, and ongoing quality improvement initiatives
