Overview
You will support a federal healthcare system as the designated Radiation Safety Officer and MRI Safety Expert. You will perform annual inspections, equipment testing, and compliance oversight across multiple imaging modalities.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform annual radiation safety surveys and equipment certification
- Review radiation exposure and provide ALARA recommendations
- Conduct QA and QC evaluations across imaging systems
- Support CT protocol optimization and shielding calculations
- Serve as Radiation Safety Officer and MRI Safety Expert
- Provide written reports within 15 days of inspections
- Ensure compliance with ACR, TJC, FDA, NRC, and VA standards

Requirements
- Board Certification required
- American Board of Radiology, American Board of Medical Physics, or equivalent
- 2 to 5 years of hospital medical physics experience
- Strong knowledge of radiation safety and compliance standards
- Ability to work independently and provide detailed reporting
Preferred
- Prior VA or federal facility experience
- Experience serving as Radiation Safety Officer
