    Medical Receptionist / Front Desk Representative

    Chesapeake ENT – Chesapeake Specialty Care

    Are you an experienced medical front desk professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys teamwork, and takes pride in delivering excellent patient service? Chesapeake ENT is seeking a friendly, reliable Medical Receptionist to support our growing specialty practice.

    This is a fully in-person position primarily based between our Westminster location, which will serve as the employee's main sites. Occasional travel to our Owings Mills , Rosedale and Columbia offices may be required to support operational needs, though these locations will be less frequently assigned.

    Schedule

    • Monday–Friday (no weekends!)
    • 8-hour shifts scheduled between 7:00 AM–6:00 PM
    • 30-minute unpaid lunch

    What You'll Do

    • Greet patients and manage check-in/check-out with professionalism and care
    • Schedule appointments across all practice locations
    • Collect copays and outstanding balances
    • Assist patients with insurance and billing inquiries
    • Ensure paperwork, referrals, and medical records are accurate and complete
    • Prepare charts and maintain organized front desk and filing areas
    • Provide primary coverage in Westminster and Owings Mills, with occasional support at additional locations as needed
    • Support the team with additional duties as assigned

    What We're Looking For

    • At least 1 year of medical front desk or medical office experience (required)
    • Strong customer service and communication skills
    • Highly organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to multitask in a busy environment
    • Proficiency with basic office tasks (typing, scanning, filing)
    • Professional and compassionate approach with all patients
    • Willingness and ability to travel between Westminster and Owings Mills regularly, with limited travel to other locations as needed

    Education

    • High school diploma or equivalent required
    • Medical office training is a plus

    Physical Requirements

    • Prolonged sitting and computer use
    • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds
