Position Summary
We are seeking a friendly, organized, and dependable Medical Receptionist to be the first point of contact for patients in our fast-paced Urgent Care clinic. This role is essential to creating a positive patient experience by managing front desk operations, coordinating administrative tasks, and ensuring smooth communication between patients, providers, and staff.
Key Responsibilities
- Front Desk & Patient Interaction
- Greet patients and visitors warmly, providing excellent customer service.
- Answer phones, direct calls, and respond to inquiries with professionalism.
- Register patients, verify insurance, and collect accurate demographic and billing information.
- Check patients in and out, schedule appointments, and process payments.
- Administrative Support
- Maintain and update patient records in the Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system.
- Handle insurance authorizations, referrals, and prior approvals as needed.
- Assist with scanning, filing, and maintaining organized documentation.
- Communicate patient needs and messages to clinical staff in a timely manner.
- Operational Support
- Monitor patient flow and assist with maintaining efficiency at the front desk.
- Maintain confidentiality and comply with HIPAA standards.
- Support other office and clinic staff as required.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Prior medical office or healthcare reception experience preferred.
- Familiarity with EMR systems and insurance verification is strongly desired.
- Bilingual skills a plus.

Work Hours
8:00 AM – 8:00 PM
- Schedule: 2–3 shifts per week
- Availability: Must be able to work both weekdays and weekends (schedule may vary)
Compensation:
- Receptionist hourly pay: $17–$19 per hour (depending on experience and education)
