    Position Summary

    We are seeking a friendly, organized, and dependable Medical Receptionist to be the first point of contact for patients in our fast-paced Urgent Care clinic. This role is essential to creating a positive patient experience by managing front desk operations, coordinating administrative tasks, and ensuring smooth communication between patients, providers, and staff.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Front Desk & Patient Interaction
      • Greet patients and visitors warmly, providing excellent customer service.
      • Answer phones, direct calls, and respond to inquiries with professionalism.
      • Register patients, verify insurance, and collect accurate demographic and billing information.
      • Check patients in and out, schedule appointments, and process payments.
    • Administrative Support
      • Maintain and update patient records in the Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system.
      • Handle insurance authorizations, referrals, and prior approvals as needed.
      • Assist with scanning, filing, and maintaining organized documentation.
      • Communicate patient needs and messages to clinical staff in a timely manner.
    • Operational Support
      • Monitor patient flow and assist with maintaining efficiency at the front desk.
      • Maintain confidentiality and comply with HIPAA standards.
      • Support other office and clinic staff as required.

    Qualifications

    • High school diploma or equivalent required.
    • Prior medical office or healthcare reception experience preferred.
    • Familiarity with EMR systems and insurance verification is strongly desired.
    • Bilingual skills a plus.

    Work Hours

    8:00 AM – 8:00 PM

    • Schedule: 2–3 shifts per week
    • Availability: Must be able to work both weekdays and weekends (schedule may vary)

    Compensation:

    • Receptionist hourly pay: $17–$19 per hour (depending on experience and education)
