Established, highly-regarded, growing Personal Injury Law firm seeks full-time Medical Record Retrieval Specialist. Position consists of working with medical providers to obtain medical billing and records for clients in a timely and efficient manner. Firm Compensation includes: • Highly competitive salary commensurate with experience • Generous 401(k) with firm matching component & discretionary profit sharing • Health Insurance • Vision insurance • Life insurance • 128 hours Paid Time Off policy (3 weeks, 1 day) • Firm Paid Holidays (typically 8) • New Class A office with amenities such as Pilates, Yoga, healthy snacks, etc. Job Type: Full-time Schedule: • 8-hour shift • Monday to Friday Supplemental Pay: • Bonus opportunities Work Location: • In-person Responsibilities: • Will work directly with providers' offices to retrieve medical and billing records under affidavit in a timely and efficient manner • Accurately organize and maintain client medical records in a secure and confidential manner • Retrieve and compile medical information for healthcare professionals and administrative staff as needed • Ensure compliance with relevant HIPAA laws and regulations governing the confidentiality and release of medical records • Input and update patient information in electronic health record systems such as Chartswap, Healthmark, CIOX, Verisma, MRO, etc • Collaborate with medical staff to verify and correct client data, ensuring accuracy and completeness • Respond to requests for medical bills and records with affidavits from case managers • Manage the filing, scanning, sorting, and uploading of documents into the electronic database, Filevine • Manage payment processing for medical bills and record requests, including checks and credit card transactions. Maintain detailed records of financial transactions related to medical record requests. Utilize electronic systems to track and document payment transactions accurately • Assist in the creation and maintenance of filing systems and formatting for efficient record retrieval • Support administrative tasks, including following up on records and calling medical providers, as well as answering inquiries related to medical bills and records Qualifications: • Ideal candidate has at least 1 year of experience working in a personal injury law firm • Bilingual (English & Spanish) is a plus • High potential for career advancement • Living in or near McKinney is a plus Compensation: $38,000 - $45,000 yearly
