Position: Medical Records Clerk, Full-Time
Responsibilities:
Scans and/or uploads paper and electronic documents and completes medical records requests.
Responsible for collecting information related to patient treatment to complete requests for Medical Records.
Track electronically and complete the medical record request processes.
Ensure that the medical records are organized, accurate and complete
Safeguarding patient records and ensuring compliance with all legal and HIPAA and HITECH standards
Prepare and status of medical record invoices
Tracking in house patient records and Plan of Care compliance
Performs various projects and clerical duties as assigned
Qualifications:
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Excellent organizational and time management skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Previous experience in medical billing/medical records preferred but not required.
