    Dependable Health Services is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Medical Records Specialist to join our team in Las Vegas, Nevada. This role is ideal for a motivated professional who thrives in a fast-paced healthcare environment, works well independently, and contributes positively to a collaborative team.

    The Medical Records Specialist plays an essential role in supporting agency operations by managing physician orders, maintaining accurate patient records, and ensuring documentation compliance to support timely reimbursements. This position also offers cross-training opportunities in multiple administrative areas within a busy home health office.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Enter physician orders into the agency system and send documentation to physicians for signature

    • Track the status of physician orders and Form 485s using internal reporting systems

    • Ensure timely follow-up on unsigned or outstanding documentation

    • Enter discharge orders and ensure patient schedules are appropriately canceled

    • Assemble, organize, and maintain patient medical records

    • Cross-train in intake and authorization processes to support office operations

    • Provide professional customer service when answering incoming phone calls

    • Address patient and family inquiries in a courteous and timely manner

    • Schedule patient visits and assist with tracking clinician productivity

    • Assist with coordination of in-office meetings and administrative tasks

    • Monitor office and medical supply levels and maintain adequate inventory

    Qualifications

    • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

    • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

    • Excellent communication and customer service skills

    • Ability to work independently while contributing to a team environment

    • Prior healthcare, medical records, or home health experience preferred
