Job Summary
We are seeking a Medical Registration Representative to join our Family-Owned Urgent Care in Melbourne, FL! The ideal candidate is very organized, has strong customer service and interpersonal skills, and works well independently and within a team. This candidate is also very familiar with insurance portals such as Availity, Optum, BCBS, Medicare, Tricare, VA, etc.
Responsibilities
Greet patients and assist patients in a professional and courteous manner
Verify patient insurance and demographic insurance and accurately update necessary information
Answer incoming phone calls and assist patient by answering questions, taking message, and/or directing call to correct department
Collect co-payments, co-insurance and/or previous balances
Maintain comprehensive medical records, as needed
Collaborate closely with healthcare providers
Qualifications

Attention to detail
Understanding of various insurance plans and authorization requirements
Previous office experience desired; hourly salary based on experience
