    Key Responsibilities

    • Accompany providers during patient visits and accurately document patient

    encounters in the electronic medical record (EMR) in real time.

    • Record the patient's history of present illness (HPI), review of systems (ROS),

    physical examination findings, assessment, treatment plan, and follow-up

    instructions as directed by the provider.

    • Document laboratory, imaging, and diagnostic test results within the patient's medical record.

    • Enter orders for laboratory tests, diagnostic procedures, referrals, and medications as instructed by the provider.

    • Process prescription refill requests in accordance with provider instructions.

    • Accurately enter billing information based on the services provided during the

    patient visit.

    • Prepare patients for examination by obtaining appropriate information and ensuring

    examination rooms are ready for use.

    • Maintain exam rooms by stocking supplies, preparing equipment, and ensuring a

    clean, organized clinical environment.

    • Assist providers during examinations, procedures, and patient treatments as

    appropriate.

    •Observe, document, and communicate patient concerns or changes in condition to the provider.

    • Educate patients on prescribed medications, diagnostic procedures, treatment

    plans, and wellness recommendations as directed by the provider.

    • Instruct patients on specimen collection and preparation for diagnostic testing

    when appropriate.

    • Maintain accurate, timely, and complete patient records in compliance with

    practice standards.

    • Coordinate multiple patient encounters efficiently while maintaining accuracy and

    attention to detail.

    • Report malfunctioning medical equipment or safety concerns to the appropriate

    supervisor.

    • Follow OSHA, HIPAA, infection control, and all applicable healthcare regulations

    and company policies.

    • Collaborate effectively with physicians, clinical staff, and administrative team

    members to ensure efficient patient care.

    • Maintain strict confidentiality of all patients, employees, and organizational

    information.

    • Perform additional clinical and administrative duties as assigned to support

    practice operations.

    Required Qualifications

    • High school diploma or equivalent required.

    • Minimum of one (1) year of experience using an Electronic Medical Record (EMR)

    system.

    • Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology.

    • Excellent written documentation and typing skills.

    • Strong organizational and time management abilities.

    • Ability to multitask and prioritize responsibilities in a fast-paced healthcare

    environment.

    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

    • Strong attention to detail with a high level of accuracy.

    • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and electronic medical record systems.

    • Ability to work independently while contributing effectively as part of a

    multidisciplinary healthcare team.

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Previous experience as a Medical Scribe, Medical Assistant, or in a clinical

    healthcare setting.

    • Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) certification preferred but not required.

    • Familiarity with medical coding, billing documentation, and healthcare

    administrative workflows.

    • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification preferred.
