    We are seeking a detail-oriented and compassionate Medical Scribe / Office Administrator to join our growing team. This role combines real-time clinical documentation with front office administrative support to ensure a seamless patient experience. You'll work closely with providers to accurately capture patient encounters while also managing check-ins, scheduling, and insurance verifications. This is an excellent opportunity for pre-health students or aspiring healthcare professionals to gain firsthand experience in both the clinical and operational sides of a specialty medical practice.     Key Responsibilities

    Medical Scribe Duties:

    Accurately document patient encounters in real-time, including history, exam findings, diagnoses, and treatment plans.

    Maintain EHRs and ensure all notes are signed off by the physician.

    Use proper medical terminology, abbreviations, and codes.

    Support clinical workflow and assist with prior authorizations as needed.

    Collaborate with providers and staff to ensure efficient documentation.

    Support and help facilitate providers notes during patient visits.

    Office Administration Duties:

    Welcome patients and visitors, manage check-in/check-out processes, and collect co-pays.

    Verify insurance, schedule appointments and follow-ups, and submit prior authorization requests.

    Answer phone calls, route messages, and respond to inquiries.

    Maintain organized front desk and ensure HIPAA-compliant record-keeping.

    Assist in emergency situations by alerting clinical staff appropriately.

    Additional duties as assigned.

    Qualifications & Requirements:

    Education:

    High school diploma or equivalent.

    Experience:

    Minimum 1 year of experience as a medical scribe or medical receptionist.

    Proficiency in EHR systems, medical terminology, and computer skills.

    Familiarity with HIPAA and OSHA regulations.

    Skills & Abilities:

    Strong organizational, communication, and multitasking skills.

    Professional appearance and compliance with dress code.

    Punctuality and readiness for all assigned shifts.

    Preferred:

    Certification in medical assisting (CMA, RMA) or completion of a medical terminology course.

    BLS certification or willingness to obtain.

    Experience in allergy, immunology, or respiratory care.

    College-level coursework in healthcare or related fields.

    Advanced typing/computer skills.

    Interest in a future healthcare career (medicine, nursing, PA, administration, etc.).

    Physical Requirements:

    Ability to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods of time.

    Must be able to perform tasks that require physical dexterity (e.g., taking vital signs, assisting with procedures).
