    Job Summary

    We are seeking an experienced Medical Secretary and Medical Assistant to join our team! As a Medical Secretary, you will be responsible for greeting patients who come in the door, checking them in, and pulling relevant patient files or obtaining new patient information. You will also answer phone calls and direct them to the appropriate place, mail or fax documentation to the appropriate offices, and maintain excellent medical and correspondence records, as appropriate. The ideal candidate must have at least 2 years of experience in a similar role and be proficient in using Athena or a similar EMR (electronic medical record). We are looking for a very organized, has strong customer service and interpersonal skills, and works well independently and within a team. This position is for immediate hire and for a candidate who are fluent in Spanish (speaking and reading). Ability to multitask and able to work in a face-paced environment is a must, besides being knowledgeable in medical insurance.

    Responsibilities

    Greet patients who walk through the door

    Ascertain their needs and get them checked in

    Pull their medical records, or take a new patient history

    Answer the phone and schedule appointments or answer patient questions

    Maintain comprehensive medical records, as needed

    Qualifications

    Strong customer service skills

    Excellent organizational skills

    Attention to detail

    Familiarity with basic computer programs, such as the Microsoft Outlook 360

    Previous office experience required

    Minimum of 2 years of experience in a medical office

    Knowledgeable about medical insurance

    Fluent Spanish speaking
