Medical Technician, Phlebotomist

Full time contract

Pay range: $23.48 to $28.57 per hour

We are hiring five full time Phlebotomists to support the VA Boston Healthcare System. You will work onsite at one of three campuses. This role supports veterans in inpatient, outpatient, and emergency settings.

What you will do
• Perform inpatient and outpatient blood draws
• Complete ward rounds and STAT collections
• Process and prepare specimens for send out
• Verify patient identity before every collection
• Document and resolve collection issues
• Protect patient privacy and follow HIPAA standards

Schedule
• Day shifts between 5:30 am and 5:00 pm
• Monday through Friday
• Rotating weekends and holidays as needed
• No on call

What you need
• Minimum three years recent phlebotomy experience
• Strong specimen collection and labeling accuracy
• Experience in hospital or high volume lab preferred
• Ability to work independently and in a team setting
• Current BLS
• Proof of required immunizations
