Large governmental agency is seeking a Medical Technologist to assess specimen acceptability per established criteria.

WORK LOCATION: 163 Veterans Dr, White River Junction, VT 05001

PAY: $45-60k/yr (depending on experience) PLUS 12 paid holidays

CONTRACT DATES: ASAP - 3/11/30 (This is a five-year role, but you can step away if circumstances change)

HOURS: M-F, 7-4:30 (40 hrs/wk)

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Assess specimen acceptability per established criteria.
• Perform routine and complex lab procedures per SOPs.
• Operate, monitor, and troubleshoot lab instruments.
• Make technical decisions regarding testing and problem-solving.
• Prepare, test, and evaluate reagents and controls.
• Report accurate, timely test results for quality patient care.
• Conduct preventive maintenance and quality control.
• Manage and replenish bench supplies as needed.
• Assist with specimen processing when required.
• Maintain safety standards and use proper PPE.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's in Chemical/Biological Science, Clinical Lab Science, or related field (CLIA & State compliance).
• Minimum 1 year of clinical lab experience.
• ASCP or AMT certification preferred.
• Strong teamwork and independent work skills.
• Computer proficiency; LIS experience is a plus.
• Attention to detail with strong communication and organization.
• Ability to pass a color vision test.
• Flexibility for overtime or shift changes as needed.
