This is a Knoxville, TN-based role that works in the office and community, collaborating with others, meeting clients, delivering Medicare educational seminars, and engaging in community events. It is NOT a remote position; only candidates based in or relocating to East Tennessee will be considered.

Our Senior Benefits Consultant role is that of an internal licensed insurance agent who covers inbound and outbound calls to sell SFG Senior insurance products. This role looks for sales and relationship-building opportunities with each contact.

Responsibilities
place outbound sales calls to leads provided by SFG
self-generate leads through community outreach and referrals
answer incoming calls and offer product advice, sales, and customer service to clients
follow up by email promptly, clearly, and professionally, with proper grammar and spelling
accurately document client communications and information in internal databases
build positive relationships with new clients and further develop relationships with existing clients to expand sales with those clients
facilitate and present educational seminars to small and large groups
support and participate in SFG's community partnerships and events to build our brand and make potential client connections
provide personalized service to clients, including explaining various insurance products available and solving problems that may arise
Basic Job Requirements
must be a licensed insurance agent or be able to obtain licensure before starting and obtain needed certifications within the required timeframe
computer and internet proficiency, especially proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
a high school diploma or equivalent
experience working with a CRM (Customer Relations Management system)
proficient communication in English (verbal and written); excellent grammar and spelling
an aptitude for consultative sales
Experience that May Help You to be Successful
experience working elsewhere as an insurance agent
thorough knowledge of Medicare and other Senior insurance products
multi-state licensing as an agent
experience with telephonic sales or fundraising experience, by phone or in-person
entrepreneurial experience, large or small
community/volunteer leadership experience
experience working with Medicare and other Senior insurance products
fluency in additional language(s) is helpful but not required
Compensation
$25/hour plus benefits and production bonuses
