About the Role:
Riverwood Assisted Living Facility in Dobson, NC is looking for a compassionate and dependable Medication Aide to join our dedicated care team. Responsibilities:
Administer prescribed medications to residents accurately and on schedule in accordance with care plans
Document medication administration and report any changes in resident condition to nursing staff
Monitor residents for adverse reactions or side effects and escalate concerns promptly
Maintain accurate medication records and ensure compliance with state and facility regulations
Communicate effectively with nurses, caregivers, and family members regarding resident health status
Ensure proper storage and handling of medications per facility policy
Requirements:
Current, valid Medication Aide certification in the state of North Carolina
Prior experience in an assisted living, long-term care, or skilled nursing facility preferred
Strong knowledge of medication administration procedures and safety protocols
Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification is a plus
Excellent attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate documentation
Compassionate, patient, and resident-focused demeanor
Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative care team
