COLLECTIONS REPRESENTATIVE- MEMPHIS, TN

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES As a Collections Representative, you will be responsible for the collection of insurance accounts and administering all phases of patient payments. A good knowledge of medical, insurance, and third party terminology Additional responsibilities of the Collections Representative

• File insurance claims.
• Process claim denials from insurance carriers.
• Interact with patients as necessary on the telephone about their billing statements.
• Inquire about existing claims with insurance carriers.
• Accept patient payments over the telephone.
• Initiate measures that result in account resolution.
• Handle in a professional and confidential manner all correspondence, documentation, and files.
• Establish payment arrangements.
• Accept credit card payments via phone.
• Process bankruptcy paperwork.
• Process all returned mail in a timely manner.
• Update patient accounts based on verified information from the patient into the billing software, Intergy.

Pay Rate: $18hr-$20hr (based off of experience) Hours: Monday-Friday 8:30am-5pm Location: Memphis, TN

Additional requirements of the Collections Representative include:

• High school diploma or GED
• Experience in a call center or healthcare industry, preferred
• Hardworking

• Strong customer service skills
